iTero Digital Imaging
There is no such thing as one-size-fits-all in orthodontics; each appliance needs to be customized based on the size and shape of your mouth and teeth. For the best results, we use iTero digital imaging to create completely digital impressions of your mouth. Not only does this help us create perfectly-fitted appliances, but we can also use the software to simulate what your teeth will look like by the end of the treatment so that you have something to look forward to.
Indirect Tooth Bonding
While braces have been used for many years, recent advancements in orthodontics have made the treatment even better. In the old days, each bracket needed to be individually bonded to the teeth. In order to speed up the process, we can use indirect bonding to put multiple brackets in place at once. This is done by applying a small amount of bonding material to each bracket. Then, once they’re on the teeth, we’ll quickly harden the material with a curing light. Your braces will be secured in place in much less time.
Insignia Advanced Smile Design
Using special Insignia Advanced Smile Design software, we can create completely personalized braces just for you. Every variable, from shape to size to bracket placement, will be carefully planned to the smallest detail. This ensures that your completely custom-made brackets and wires will fit as comfortably as possible and will do their intended job in the least amount of time. This technology is useful for planning treatments for both adults and children alike in order to create healthier, stunning smiles.
Accelerated Orthodontics
Not looking forward to waiting over a year to see your straighter smile? Thanks to accelerated orthodontics, we have a couple of ways to shave a significant amount of time off the orthodontic process! Depending on your case, we might recommend AcceleDent or Propel to make the desired corrections.
AcceleDent® Accelerated Orthodontics
AcceleDent is a simple device that you can place in your mouth like a mouthpiece. When you turn it on, it starts sending out micro-vibrations that can reach the bone in your jaw. These vibrations can be used to remodel the bone tissue much more quickly than traditional braces, making it easier for your teeth to move into the correct positions. Most patients use AcceleDent for about 20 minutes a day; doing so can reduce the time required for the orthodontic process by 30% or more.
Propel® Accelerated Orthodontics
You’ll need to visit our orthodontic office periodically for a progress checkup, and during these visits we can take an extra step to help move the process along. Propel is a small, pen-like instrument that can be used to create small holes in the jaw, giving the bone a chance to remodel itself much sooner so that braces or clear aligners can work faster. The process is quick and painless, and its effects are often dramatic; it even has the potential to cut treatment time in half!
