Read on to learn more about her background and her experiences with orthodontics.
Why Did You Want to Become an Orthodontist?
Before Dr. Podray-Donovan’s father retired, her father was an orthodontist in South Florida, and she had the opportunity to help out at his orthodontic office on many occasions during her teen years. In the midst of doing lab work, sterilizing treatment rooms, and occasionally helping with patient care, she developed a strong love for orthodontics and the smiles it could create. She attended dental school and worked as a family dentist for a single year, but ultimately, while she did appreciate the chance to offer a variety of services, she decided that she was most passionate about the work that she helped her father with. She wasn’t alone in making that choice; her brother is also an orthodontist. You could say it runs in the family!
Where Did You Study Orthodontics?
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?

Dr. Podray-Donovan lives with her husband Jon in North Georgia along with their two wonderful sons Zach and Kyle. During her spare time outside of the orthodontic office, she enjoys spending time with her boys outdoors; they love a wide variety of physical activities like swimming, biking, fishing, hiking, and basketball. She also enjoys taking care of the chickens that live in the family’s backyards. One of her biggest passions is Disney; she always loves the chance to talk with her patients about past trips to the different parks.
